Resilience Coaching for Women

The to-do list never ends. The workload gets heavier and the expectations get higher. You feel like you’re always in multiple places at once, and not achieving success in any of them.

Before you burn out or “lean out”, get tailored support from an experienced coach who has been there.

I’m Christy Mihina, a certified coach, expert in personal development and change, and burnout survivor. I’ve been there - depleted, exhausted, just getting through the days - and I know what it’s like to climb out. Now it’s my mission to help you do the same for yourself.

If you’ve landed here, I’m guessing that at least one of these things rings true for you:

  • You’ve been waking up with a knot in your stomach and a hamster wheel at full speed in your brain.  You haven’t even gotten out of bed and you feel like you’re already running behind.

  • If anyone asks you to do one. more. thing. you are going to lose it.

  • The career that used to give you energy and purpose now just feels draining, and you’re struggling to stay motivated.

  • You don’t recognize yourself anymore, but you remember that person fondly – and you wonder where exactly she went and when she might be back.

I’ve been there. I was burned out and resentful, and I didn’t see any way it could get better. Looking back and knowing what I know now, I’m here to tell you two things:

You’re not alone, and things don’t have to stay this way.

Even in the toughest times - and we are definitely living those tough times right now - it’s within your grasp to:

  • Ride the daily waves of constant change - instead of drowning in them

  • Take care of your people at home and at work - in a way that lets you take care of yourself

  • Find your spark again - live and lead with inspiration and joy

Our lives should sustain us, not drain us.

I designed Five Keys to Resilience to help you make lasting, transformative changes to break out of burnout, and give you practical, “real-life” tools to make those changes stick.

These keys provide the roadmap for a transformational one-on-one coaching program tailored just for you.

Here’s what that experience looks like:

Assess your stress: If you’re coming to resilience coaching, chances are you’re depleted and overwhelmed right now, and you need immediate relief before we can dive into any big changes. In your first session, we take a big picture view of what’s on your plate – from career to kids to partner to eldercare, and everything in between - and assess your level of burnout. Based on your unique situation, we identify small realistic changes and stress relief practices that you’ll begin using immediately. This is the beginning of a resilience action plan that you’ll build on in the sessions to come.

Connect to your purpose: Tapping into your “Why” – knowing there is meaning in what you do every day – is crucial to building resilience and gives you energy to rebound when times are tough. Whether you’ve already identified your purpose or have no idea where to find it, together we’ll make sure this is at the foundation of how you live and lead.

Build resilient mindsets: Burnout isn’t just about external pressures. Your patterns of thinking and hidden beliefs can run you ragged without you even realizing it. You’ll identify those mindsets that don’t serve you, and replace them with powerful new ways of thinking about yourself, your life, and and your career.

Set boundaries that stick: It’s become a buzzword recently, but the right boundaries can be life-changing when you really do the work. You’ll identify where you need boundaries, understand how to communicate and protect them, and feel confident in saying “No” so that you can say “Yes!” to what’s most important and healthy for you.

Prioritize your well-being: There’s “self-care” (Netflix, your favorite comfort food, a single mental-health day) and then there’s self-care: regular well-being practices to keep yourself healthy, mentally strong, and joyful. For these to work, they need to be part of the fabric of your daily life, so we spend time creating the practices that will work best for you.

Get the support you need: With all of the steps above, you’ve built a resilience action plan. Now you’ll need to engage others - your partner, your boss, your inner circle - to help you make it all work. You’ll learn strategies for enlisting their support in a way that makes them eager to help, and leaves you feeling empowered and confident.
