Setting Boundaries for Your Time Away

As you prepare for your weekend away at the Resonance Retreat, we want to give you all the support possible to get what you really want out of this time - this gift you’ve given yourself.

To help you protect your time, energy and headspace for your retreat weekend, use this short guide to set boundaries around your time and headspace during the retreat here.


Accommodations

Room Details: The Cottage

You will have a private keyed hotel room with either two Queen beds or one King bed (depending on your requested room occupancy at registration) and an ensuite bathroom. The common areas in the Cottage include a great room, kitchen and game room. Floorplans and room layouts can be viewed here.

Check in: Thursday November 14 as early as 5:00 p.m. Check out: Sunday November 17 at 10:00 a.m.

Extending your stay

The Cottage will only be available from Thursday - Sunday. If you’d like to add onto your time away to take advantage of the resort and spa (which sounds like a fabulous idea!) you can book a hotel room at the Geneva National Resort through their site.

Spa appointments

If you’d like to add a massage or spa service to your weekend, please schedule a treatment directly! We recommend booking in the following windows:

  • What you need now: Exploring what will support you in your current life chapter (self-care practices, mindsets, supportive relationships)

  • Individual and group reflection and creation

12:00 - Lunch at the Cottage; free time

3:00 - Afternoon session (Lodge Workshop Room)

  • Setting your future vision

  • Your commitment to your past, present and future self

5:30 - Dinner (Lodge)

Sunday, November 17

What to Bring

In addition to what you would typically bring for a weekend away, we also recommend:

  • Warm outerwear and shoes for walking - weather permitting, we plan to have one or two short walks or activities outside

  • Comfortable clothes for yoga and other movement

  • Yoga mat, towel and water bottle - if you don’t have your own mat, please let us know and we’ll have one available for you

  • Specific food, snacks or drinks that you’d like to have during the weekend (please note, the Resonance Retreat is alcohol-free)


Meals

Our shared meals will have a “plant slant,” with a majority of vegetarian mains with protein options. Your dietary requirements were captured as part of your registration - but if any new needs have emerged, or you have any questions at all about menu, please reach out to Christy or Meg.

There is also a full kitchen in the Cottage, if you would like to bring specific food, drinks or snacks to support your well-being and best health over the weekend!

Thursday Welcome Reception

  • Light dinner of hors d'oeuvres, assorted flatbreads, crudites

  • Signature mocktails

  • Hot tea / apple cider / cocoa

Friday 

  • Breakfast: Quiche, Yogurt, and Hand Fruit; Coffee + Tea

  • Lunch: Soup & Salad Bar 

  • Snacks: Fruit, Protein Bars, Chips, Veggies & Hummus

  • Dinner: 

    • Cream of wild mushroom soup

    • Warm rolls and whipped butter

    • Roasted French-cut chicken with Marsala Reduction Sauce

    • Herb Roasted Red Skin Potatoes

    • Grilled Asparagus

    • Flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel and whipped cream

    • Water, freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, hot ritual teas

Saturday 

  • Breakfast: Oatmeal, Hard Boiled Eggs, Hand Fruit; Coffee + Tea

  • Lunch: Sandwich Wraps and Mixed Berries

  • Snacks: Fruit, Protein Bars, Chips, Veggies & Hummus

  • Dinner: 

    • Orchard Salad

    • Warm rolls and whipped butter

    • Butternut Squash Ravioli with sage cream, sweet & savory vegetable medley

    • New York cheesecake with strawberry preserves

    • Water, freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, hot ritual teas

Sunday Breakfast: Friday & Saturday options plus gluten free baked goods
